Medicare

Starting September 1, 2006, everyone with Medicare, regardless of income, health status, or prescription drug usage is eligible for prescription drug coverage.

Medicare prescription drug coverage is insurance that covers both brand-name and generic prescription drugs at participating pharmacies, including Tuxedo Pharmacy. Coverage is provided through private insurance plans, and you can choose a plan that is right for you. You must enroll to get coverage.

Medicare prescription drug coverage provides protection for people who have very high drug costs. Each plan requires a montly premium and co-payment, each of which varies depending on the amount of coverage you choose. Extra help is also available for those with limited income and resources.
